Third METRO Cash & Carry hypermarket to open in Rostov in November

This will be the company’s third hypermarket in the capital of the Don region. The new retail outlet will have more than 9,000 square metres of space and be built in the Severny residential area on Prospekt Korolyova. A parking lot for 300 vehicles will be built next to the shopping centre.

Approximately EUR 22 million will be invested in the construction of the hypermarket. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on 29 July. Despite the high level of competition, Rostov attracted METRO with its economic and demographic indicators, according to company representatives. The two existing hypermarkets in the city are not sufficient to meet the current level of demand for the chain’s products.

The hypermarket will also house a retail school. The store will also sell goods manufactured by Rostov producers.
